IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PUT ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS - VIDEOS, PICTURES AND MUSIC IN ONE FOLDER!
To:
Do This:
Begin your project
· Create a new folder to store your project materials. · Upload your media to the computer. Media can come from the internet, your camera, a CD or DVD. · Save the media to the folder you created.
Start Movie Maker
· Double Click the Movie Maker Icon on the desk top. · Choose New Project for new movie or Open Project to work on an existing movie.
Import your media
· Click File and choose Import into Collections · Browse/select the files you want to use. · Click Import
Add a video transition
· Click Tools · Click Video Transitions · Drag a video transition and drop it between two video clips on the timeline or storyboard
Add a video effect
· Click Tools · Click Video Effects · Drag a video effect and drop it on a video clip the timeline or the storyboard
Add titles and credits
· Click Tools · Click Titles and Credits · Choose an option to add the title · Enter title and text · Click Done to add the title to the movie
Narrate the Timeline
· You will need a microphone for this. · Click Tools · Click Narrate Timeline · Select Microphone and speak into the microphone to test audio levels, · Click Start Narration and record your voice · When finished, click Stop Narration. The narration file should automatically import to your Collections
Save Movie Maker File .
· Click File · Click Save Project As · Save your project file to the folder you created earlier.
Finalize Your Video: When you are satisfied with your work, you must finalize the project!
· Click File · Click Save Movie File · Click My Computer · Click Next · Click Browse and save to your project folder, then click OK Your completed video will have the title you gave it followed by .wmv
